Alana's Journey

Narna's was set up in a small village just outside Aberystwyth back in 2010 by the then 17-year-old Alana. At the age of 16, Alana became a self-taught chocolatier and began to sell to her teachers, friends and family. This rapidly increased and attracted the interest of two local shops. The business was in full swing, so Alana left school to pursue her dream. As the delicious chocolates she was making contained fresh cream, the shelf life of the products started to become an issue. Alana then made her first batch of brownies and took them into the delicatessen where she was working alongside making chocolate. They loved them and asked her to become their cake supplier. The products have developed over the years and now comprise six well-loved products that are sold in delis across the country. She also has a busy events calendar travelling the country bringing her scrummy goodies to a large number of food festivals and country shows. Now 50/50 partners with business heavyweight Lord Sugar, things are about to get a whole lot sweeter. The business is expanding rapidly and she has exciting plans for the future, all of which we will update you on in due course. Thanks for all your support this far. Alana x
