You have probably seen them all over Instagram, the delicious looking Drizzle Cakes! So a little while ago, I had a go for myself and I have to be honest, I was pretty pleased with how it came out! If you fancy impressing your friends and giving it a go, then everything you will need is listed below, and to see how I made mine, head over to the Ridiculously Rich by Alana YouTube channel.
- Chilled pre-made iced cake
- White Chocolate
- Gel Food Colouring of your choice
- Angled Palette Knife
- 100g Double Cream
- Piping Bag or Bottle (http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/wilton-squeeze-bottles-6-oz-2-pack/574349-1000)
- Edible decorations of your choice
STEP 1 Weigh out equal measurements 1 part chocolate to 2 parts cream.
STEP 2 Heat the cream and pour over chocolate to combine. Mix until well combined. Add gel food colouring until you achieve the colour you would like.
STEP 3 Chill mixture overnight.
STEP 4 Use a palette knife to smooth the glaze over the cake, the drips will start to form. Use a piping bag or piping bottle to add smaller drips to the sides of the cake.
STEP 5 Add any decorations you would like.
STEP 6 Take your own Instagram worthy photo and enjoy!
